ANIMAL GARDEN LIVE

‘Animal Garden’ celebrates grace, style and a smidge of sass - it’s our new love letter to longboarding, and a whole lotta fun. The vid features surfing by Mason Schremmer, Harrison Roach, Lilliana Bowrey, Thomas Bexon, and Luca Doble. It's shot on location in Sri Lanka - the land of perfect sand bottom point breaks. All of us have been shaped in our own way by the joy and inspiration that longboarding provides - so think of this vid as our thanks to everyone who keeps the spirit alive. It’s a labour of love but GADDAMN it’s a good time.

WE SCORED, INDEED

You know those surf trips where you like, score? Well this was one of those - in terms of loggin’ trips, this was the unicorn. Each day we were up before dawn, heading to a new point in an attempt to avoid the heat of the day, and each afternoon we dragged ourselves back to the accommodation, severely fried. Along with absolutely rinsing ourselves, we rinsed every point break within an hour radius. It was FANTASTIC.

MASEDOG SCHREMMER

Mason's part might be characterised by the glandular secretions of the Bombyx Mori i.e. silky. Rides a 9'2" Moose.

HARSAN ROACH

This was the Roach's first surfs after brain surgery and seven months outta the water. Could be worse. Rides a 9'7" custom.

LIL BOWZ

Try and count how many times Lil goes six steps to the nose, and then multiply it by six. She's walkin' into the sunset fo-sho. Rides a 9'2" Malibu.

DOC BEXON

When I watch Doc's part in 'Animal Garden' it's like I'm watching a graceful wrecking ball - it doesn't make sense but I love it. Rides a 10'1" custom.

LUCA DOBES

One of the smoothest young women in surfing - Luca would be unfazed and stylish even if she was caught in a twister. Rides a 9'4" Keeper 2.0

THE SALTIEST OF SWAMIS

Local legends and superhosts, Yanik & Yhevin Tissera, created Salty Swamis a lil' while back. Their space is a blend of Sri Lanka’s local surf and coffee cultures, and it acted as a haven between surfs for our completely cooked chassis. We ate there twice a day and would defo recommend having a taste if you’re in the area. Side note, they have a collection of Thomas Surfboards in stock too. HIDEAWAY... FROM THE SUN

As mentioned, it was stinkin’ hot, and everyone needed a solid spot to hide away from the sun, hence Hideaway Resort. Throw in one of their lychee martinis and a dip in the pool each arve and you’re all set to turn dreams into reality.
