Mod Fish

The Mod Fish is something that’s been floating around in my head for too long - it blends everything we love about the keel fish with a bit more performance shortboard thinking. It’s a keel that has the fish feel that makes them so special but it can be surfed harder off the tail and more vertical in tighter pockets.

It’s also more capable as a groveller type of board when required thanks to the tow in the fins and a slightly longer and narrower overall design than the standard keel fish. More entry rocker and reduced volume up front and a narrow tail with a flyer positioned at the trailing edge of the fin brings in the area off the tail and allows for a tighter and more aggressive approach to turns.
