SUBTLE TWEAKS - THE HARRISON

Harrison Roach recently put his 9'6" 'Harrison' in the sweet spot. After the session, he came back to the factory and asked Thomas to make some subtle tweaks to The Harrison model, which we've been building for over 10 years. We always find it interesting to revisit and update designs based on a surfer's feedback. In this case, Harrison wanted to blend the bevel edge of the nose concave and drop the overall rocker by a few millimetres. Nothing major, but it's definitely a nice update.

ALVIN SETIAWAN

We're currently working on another longboard vid, called KANG'S RETREAT, to follow up from Respect Your Mum. One of the stars of the project is 10 year old Alvin Setiawan. Much like the kid's mentors, Husni Ridhwan and Deni Firdaus, Alvin's as smooth as the glandular secretions of the bombyx mori. He represents the third generation of surfers from his hometown, and though we don't want to talk it up too much, we reckon 'Vin's gonna take Indonesian longboarding to all new heights. By the time our little vid comes out, Alvin will be a year older and most likely a much better surfer, but we're amped to have caught him at the ripe old age of 10, when it was all just beginning to click. LONG SURFBOARD CLUB RD. 9

Our lil' local community just held the 9th edition of the Long Surfboard Club on a beautiful day at Castaways Beach. The LSC is loosely organised social event masquerading as a surf competition. It's an excuse for those of us with a common view of surfing and its culture to come together on a semi consistent basis. Everyone wins at the LSC.

A performance take on the Mod Fish with increased rocker and a pulled in diamond tail, making for faster rail to rail transitions and tighter turns.

While it's likely that we'll make new versions of Fish designs forever, it's hard to imagine that we'll ever truly beat the versatility of our original. From 1ft to 10ft surf - she goes.

KEEPER 2.0

The Keeper 2.0 is en route to the U.S.A in healthy numbers... numbers like 9'6", 9'8", 9'9", 10'0", n' all that. The precious sleds are wrapped in bubble wrap, cardboard and maritime-grade corten steel, and are currently sitting in the Long Beach Port, awaiting their lift down to our warehouse in San Diego.
